WAKE UP, DARLING is a very funny look at Polly, a pretty young thing who wants to be an actress, and her husband, Don, who yearns to be a playwright and has a shelf of unproduced plays to his credit. Don understandably isn't too happy when Polly comes home with Deerfield Prescott, a very young guy who has written Broadway's next
musical hit--or so he tells Polly and Don. He's decided that Polly is just the person to star in his show and moves into their apartment to put the finishing touches to his masterpiece. So the young married couple's life is turned completely upside down by Deerfield and a bunch of other crazy, unwanted houseguests who also show up. This hilarious Broadway hit is sure to put a smile on your face!

Opal Kronkie, a middle-aged recluse, lives in general disarray in her tumbledown mansion at the edge of the municipal dump. Opal collects things-anything that can be toted home in her little red wagon. Opal is also an optimist, for no matter how mean her lot-or her "friends" she responds with unfailing kindness and an abiding
faith in the goodness of human nature. Into her rather strange world come Gloria, Bradford and Solomon, three purveyors of bogus perfume, on the lam from the authorities. Opal's home is the perfect hideout-and Opal, herself, might be the remedy for their shattered finances. They decide that what she needs is plenty of insurance, a rapid demise, and three beneficiaries named Gloria, Bradford and Solomon. Attempted murder wouldn't seem to be funny, but in Mr. Patrick's magic hands it is uproarious. The laughs ensue as the unsavory trio concoct elaborate schemes to ensure Opal's demise and includes a surprise at the end. $15

Cecil, a seventy year-old successful novelist living comfortably with his fussy old butler is contemplating marriage. The object of his affections, Evelyn, has just buried the man she married fifty years ago. Cecil and Evelyn once had a brief romance, but he never quite got around to proposing marriage and she, sensibly, then turned
to a man who did. Now he wants to make up for that passed-up opportunity, without accepting the changes that time inevitably brings. She knows that you can't go back, and that the path forward is not necessarily a simple straight one. There is, after all, a difference between life and living. Think about it. Douglas-Home certainly did. (Whatsonstage.com) The dialogue in The Kingfisher bristles with hilarious one-liners. And that elusive and wary bird of the title? Is it a symbol for one of the characters and, if so, which? That's for you to decide.

Spirit in Motion Ballet Theater (SIMBT) with The Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts, in Newtown Bucks County will present a unique production of its historic show for two days, Saturday, June 8th and Sunday June 9th, 2013, at the Bucks County Community College Theater. Terri Garcia Lee, Artistic Director of SIMBT/PSPA, announced that with this production and cast of over 100 children and adults, she plans to move, inspire, motivate and entertain audiences of all ages.
"Coming to America: The Pursuit of Happiness" is a multi-media production to stir the heart, the spirit and the imagination. It uses dancers, music, and actors, -- and a large screen backdrop portraying historical images and video of events to complement the stage performance. The show takes the audience from Biblical times to the history of our Native Americans, from the discovery of America to the sacrifices of World War II and sorrows of 9/11, and it pays tribute to the more recent tragedies of Sandy Hook and Boston.
America is shown as Gods great experiment gathering diverse people from far away places, of our sacrifice and most of all our great achievements. At this important time in our history, we must reflect and ensure that the true American spirit lives on.
SIMBT, a 501c 3 Non-profit company, is an artistic partner of Pennsylvania School of the Performing Arts. SIMBT uses the powerful mediums of dance and theater to prepare young dancers to pursue spirit-filled, hope-filled, meaningful lives in the world of theater. The primary focus of SIMBT is on creating performance excellence and life-learning experiences through the use of original show-themes that combine historical and current events with innovative choreography and acting. An important part of our mission is to share the unique live-theater experience with diverse audiences in the Greater Philadelphia Area.
SIMBT is touching people in a profound and positive way. Director and Founder Ms. Lee says, SIMBT/PSPA does not do recitals. We have amazing summer camp workshops and year end classes that prepare students for the professional stage, if they choose to follow that path and train all of our students to have the tools to be confident and to be the best they can be in everyday life!

The drama centers on Rubin Flood, who loses his salesman job in the 1920's. While searching for a new job, he must deal with his wife, Cora, who shuns intimacy and mistakes his joblessness for stinginess, his shy daughter who prepares for her first dance and his pre-teen son who runs to his mother instead of dealing with bullies.
He tries to find comfort with a friend, Mavis Pruitt, thus setting off rumors of an torrid relationship. In addition are the themes of modernization (i.e., not enough demand for horse harness, and the impending arrival of the oil industry). This play opened December 5, 1957, at New York's Music Box Theatre and ran for a total of 468 performances. It won the Tony Award for Best Play and was made into a film in 1960. $15

Tell Someone
At a large, tastefully appointed Sneden's Landing townhouse, the Deputy Mayor of New York has just shot himself. Though only a flesh wound, four couples are about to experience a severe attack of Farce. Gathering for their tenth wedding anniversary, the host lies bleeding in the other room and his wife is nowhere in sight. His lawyer,
Ken and wife Chris must get "the story" straight before the other guests arrive. As the confusions and mis-communications mount, the evening spins off into classic farcical hilarity.

and create a feature-length animated film set to classical music. His loyal brother Dale manages everything: unrealistic budgets, unpredictable Tony, and unrelenting deadlines while trying not to lose himself or his family in the wake of Tony's feverish genius. Humming with humor and brimming with humanity, Dale and Tony show the remarkable ways brothers support each other in spite of it all. Bruce Graham tackles '40s Hollywood through a thinly disguised look at Walt Disney& INTANGIBLE's real conflict between brothers, and between art and commerce, stands out not for Graham's wit (we expected that), but the insightful exploration of artists and the people who love and suffer them. Both a joyous celebration of youth and a poignant journey through a tumultuous 1960s America, this musical centers on a group of teenagers searching for truth, peace and love in Vietnam War era America. With a song list of chart toppping hits such as "Aquarius," "Let the Sun Shine In" and "Good Morning, Starshine," this musical,
while seemingly from another era, is just as vital and relevant to the times we live in today.* For mature audiences

Tell Someone
A mother coming to terms with her daughter. A composer coming to terms with his genius. And, even though they're separated by 200 years, these two people share an obsession that might, even just for a moment, make time stand still. Drama, memory, and music combine to transport you from present-day New York to 19th-century Austria,
in this extraordinary new American play about passion, parenthood, and the moments of beauty that can transform a life. Originally starring Jane Fonda on Broadway, this brilliant play, nominated for 5 Tony awards, is written by Moisés Kaufman, author of The Laramie Project. "There's a lot of laughter," Fonda says. "I mean, one is surprised how funny it is. But it takes you somewhere. I think people want to be taken somewhere and feel, when the experience is over, that they have actually experienced something and are the better for it."
